A hat for a monkey girl

Here is the finished project of the stripey earflap hat. It's blocking on my head that I bought from another Sybermom. I love the way it turned out even if the picture is crappy.
I've been working on my DH's hat for the Knitting Olympics and am at the halfway point. I'd like to finish it tomorrow. I hope. I just bought some new sock yarn and needles, which is bad. I will finish the hat tomorrow. Yup, I will.

Knitting Olympics

Woohoo! I'm participating in the Knitting Olympics with some other Sybermom knitters. It should be fun. Now, all I have to do is figure out, really quickly, what to knit. LOL I still have half of the monkey-girl's hat to finish and then felt. Slow going because my hands have been bothering me due to the cold temps here. I think I'll make a hat on the loom, it's still a challenge, but doesn't bother my hands as much. So, off I go to sift through the mighty stash to see which yarn to use. If you don't hear back in a day or so, send a search party. ;)

I just deleted the old crap that I had here. I hadn't updated since March. Whoops. I found the old blog again today, though, so I thought I'd turn it into a knitting/whatevertheheckIwant blog. So here it is. I suppose I should post pictures of my past knitting projects, current projects, etc. That may take a little effort. I'll get to that if I actually decide to post on this on a regular basis. ;) For now, enjoy this picture of Simon whilst I try to come up with something witty and ghey to blog about.
